I am Tianxi, a young emerging artist currently based in London. I do painting, printmaking and collages. My practice centres on moments — fleeting, intimate instances where emotion surfaces quietly yet powerfully. Through my work, I try to capture what it feels like to exist within those moments: the shifting atmosphere between people, the weight of unspoken words, the tenderness and distance that coexist in human relationships. Each work begins from a feeling or memory, but as it develops, it transforms into a narrative that invites viewers to find their own interpretations.

I’m drawn to storytelling through imagery — not in a literal or illustrative sense, but through the suggestion of emotion, gesture, and space. I want each piece to feel like a paused scene, suspended between clarity and ambiguity. The figures, the domestic spaces, and the traces of light become carriers of mood, revealing the complexity of what we sense but rarely articulate.

Fusing frameworks of emotional rawness with a vivid exploration of colour, I seek to create works that speak in an intense, ruminative, and inevitably human voice. In place of theatrical performance, my process is one of quiet honesty — an unguarded expression that resonates through texture, tone, and rhythm.

Through these images, I hope to share what it feels like to live within emotion: to remember, to long, to connect, and to let moments slip away. My work becomes a reflection of lived experience — fragile yet sincere, private yet deeply shared.
